If you’re new to my industry area, how can you write for my brand?

Great question!

There are many stages to the writing process and regardless of whether I’m familiar or not with your industry, product or service, the process is the same.

Research + strategy + messaging + writing + editing = final copy

I begin by getting to know:

  • you and your business
  • your objectives and goals
  • your customers and clients
  • the market and your competitors

And then my job as a copywriter is to convey your message to your clients / customers in a way that they understand your business and the value of what you offer.

I’ve written for a broad range of happy clients across a range of industries and business sectors. If your project needs words, I can write them.

What are your copywriting rates?

For copywriting and content writing projects, I produce a bespoke quote once I understand the full scope of the project. As the amount of work involved varies from one project to the next, charging by project (rather than hourly) usually works out more cost effective for you.

For copyediting projects, I review the original drafts to assess whether it’s minor or major edits required to get them to where they need to be, and again provide a quote for you.

Although I admit, these services do sound similar on paper, the project objectives and the amount of work is what determines the final project cost, which is why I avoid putting flat rates on the website.

What’s the best way to brief you on my project?

If you’re happy to fill out the contact form as a first port of call (and include your timeframes, deadlines, and the outline of your project scope and budget) I’ll pick this up and get back to you within 24 hrs to confirm availability.

What can I expect working with a copywriter?

Each copywriter has their own process but if you’ve never worked with one before, mine is really straightforward.

I’m very open and honest and will always give you my best advice and recommendations with the information we’re working with. If you want to pick up a few things that you can implement going forward, I’m always happy to give you my best tips and tricks too.

Collaborative

From start to finish, every meeting and touch point is an opportunity for open communication and it’s important to engage in the full process for the best outcomes – particularly in the initial kick-off call meeting and also feedback stages.

Structured

Often I can be managing multiple clients simultaneously, so sticking to the agreed timeframes is really crucial to keeping your project on track. It also helps avoid running into time allocated for other clients.

Committed

Never half ass anything. Always use your full ass – 100%. This is my mantra in life and in business. I’ll never send you anything I wouldn’t be proud to put my name to.

Do you offer design services?

I dabble in Canva so I can extend this to social media posts, flyers, infographics etc. if you’d like. But for the bigger ticket projects I’d recommend working with a designer who can take your visuals to the next level.

I collaborate with some extremely talented creatives that I’d be happy to recommend to you. Just let me know.

Can you guarantee to get me on page 1 of Google?

While I write all content with a focus on SEO, I can’t guarantee your content will rank on page 1. There are lots of other things that can affect your Google rankings.

Design, load speed, user experience, the way your website is structured on the back end all have a bearing on Google’s mystical ability to push you up or down the rankings.

What I can guarantee is:

  • Original, fresh and relevant copy
  • Basic off-page and on-page SEO optimisation in-line with best practice
  • Inspiring words written for humans (not robots)

All this, combined with the right messaging and approach gives you a strong chance to rank for search terms relevant to your business.

How early should I get my project booked in with you?

If you know you’ve got a project coming up (especially if it is deadline sensitive), book it in as soon as possible to make sure you save your slot.

For new clients it can be 1 or 2 weeks before I can make a start as I’ll be tied up with other work.

For those projects you “needed yesterday”, I can sometimes fit these in but there is usually a rush fee incurred – especially if it is a larger piece of work that requires a diary rejig.

Once I confirm availability, I can send you a quote and we can get your project locked in.

Do you offer a service guarantee?

Absolutely!

The service guarantee ensures:

  • On-time delivery
  • Two rounds of revisions to the first draft, within agreed timeframes (as specified in the proposal)

What it doesn’t include:

  • Refund of commencement fee for a change of mind at any point once we’ve started working on your project
  • Nor does it cancel final payment if feedback is not provided on the request of copy revisions

*Terms and exceptions apply and will also be included in the quote / proposal*
